Pharmacists in several states have been given the authority to provide hormonal contraceptives to patients without a prescription. This presentation will provide an overview of hormonal contraception and important factors to consider when selecting therapy for patients. This course will also discuss common adverse reactions and how to identify patients who are ineligible to receive hormonal contraceptive pharmacotherapy.
